Meribel sits in an enviable position, the central valley of the world famous Three Valleys, the world’s largest linked ski area, with over 600km of pistes, it's easy to see why guests return to Meribel year after year to continue their discovery of this massive ski area.
The Three Valleys ski area includes the resorts of Courchevel, La Tania to the east and St Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires and Val Thorens to the west of Meribel, the entire area is linked by a vast network of over 200 lifts.
From Meribel, the Valley of Courchevel is easily accessible via the Saulire bubble (just 12 minutes from 1400 to the peak at 2735,) or take the Col de Loze chair (quicker if you're based in Meribel Village).
You can be skiing in Europe’s highest resort of Val Thorens in less than one hour from Meribel with altitudes ranging from 1800 – 3200m
From the top of Tougnete (12 minutes from Meribel) you can ski down to the beautiful village of St Martin, taking in the awesome pistes of either Pramint an awesome cruisy red or the legendary Jerusalem, either route will give leave you with a massive smile from ear to ear.
Beginners have the choice of almost 50 runs (plenty to get your teeth into), the range for intermediate skiers is endless; with 100+ reds runs and well over 100 blue runs, so you can ski all week without doing the same run twice. And, for the more advanced skiers & boarders the options are impressive, from the 27 black runs to acres of steep off-piste and some pretty tricky couloirs too!
For those wanting some bumps, the you can’t beat Le Bosses off the top of Plan D L’homme chairlift from La Chaudanne, venture further afield and there are plenty of moguls in Val Thorens too
For those seeking the thrill of off-piste there is hundreds of hectares to choose from take a guide for the day to really get off the beaten path and experience untouched powder.
Head into the fourth valley of Orelle beyond Val Thorens via the Cime Caron gondola to get to the highest peak in the Three Valleys at almost 3300m
With over 80% of the pistes in The Three Valleys at over 1800m, this ensures fabulous skiing throughout the entire winter, with an infrastructure & unrivalled investment in snow cannons ensures cover on the lower village runs until the late April. There’s now a network of almost 2000 snow-cannons ensuring cover throughout the entire Three Valleys!
With a constantly improving lift system with millions of Euros invested every year in new lifts and upgrades throughout the entire area, you will never queue for very long even on the busiest weeks of the season. High speed chair-lifts and multi passenger gondolas, village to peak in approx. 10 minutes.Meribel also boasts two impressive snow-parks, the smaller Elements Park accessible from the top of the Plan de L’Homme chair and the huge Area-43/DC Park in Motteret complete with professional half pipe and numerous jumps, rails and boxes.
