Mountain Restaurants – Our Favourites

A full day on the mountain wouldn’t be the same without a nice lunch in front of a roaring fire in December & January or a sun-drenched terrace in March & April.

Here are our top lunchtime picks from across the Three Valleys, we strongly recommend you book in advance,

MERIBEL & MOTTARET

MERIBEL VILLAGE

La Terrasse: Modern European Cuisine with some local specialties. At the foot of the Lapin Piste. Huge sunny terrace. Booking recommended

LA CHAUDANNE

Le Tremplin: Good value Pizzeria at the roundabout great for families with kids, 150m from the lifts at La Chaudanne.

Jacks Bar: Cheap & cheerful, easy access from all lifts at La Chaudanne, across the roundabout

ALTITUDE 1600

Le Rond Point: Off the Rhodos piste just below mid-station – Nice restaurant, good service and a nice price, huge sunny terrace,

Aux Petite Oignons: Nice restaurant, good service and a nice price, sunny terrace or cosy up inside around the open fire on colder days. A short walk from the piste in Altitude 1600, exit the piste just below the bottom of the Adret chairlift

Bistrot Lilie: Ideally located at the “Rond-Point des Pistes”, Lilie succeeds the emblematic Bistrot de L’Orée. You will find Hélène and Sylvain at the helm of this concept combining bar, restaurant and catering shop, all in a cozy and warm atmosphere just like at home.

ON THE SLOPES AROUND MERIBEL

Le Clos Bernard: Follow the signs from the foot of La Loze chairlift. Amazing location, deep in the forest of Meribel Altiport area. Enchanting spot, sunny terrace and a great indoor restaurant too. Book in advance, highly recommended

Le Adret Telebar: Located beside the Adret chairlift just below Le Rond Point – Great choice for a special occasion, sun drenched terrace right beside the piste, excellent food and service to match

La Folie Douce: Mid station Saulire – Choose from their a-la carte restaurant or the self-service cafeteria. Stay on after 3pm for some wild apres ski entertainment.

L’Arpasson: Mid station Tougnete. Good value restaurant

Les Rhodos: A stone throw from the top of Rhodos gondola, large terrace, great value – we especially love their hot chocolates. A firm favourite for families and an ideal meeting spot for the beginner slopes. 

Le Monchu Meribel: Maxime and Julie welcome you to their establishment Le Monchu Méribel. Come and discover this high-altitude bistro nestled above mid station Rhodos in Meribel, the heart of the 3 valleys. Access via the green piste “

MOTTARET

Le Rastro: Friendly restaurant, great staff, nice food & great value located just beyond the foot of the Plattieres gondola

LA TANIA

Pub Le Ski Lodge: At the foot of Folyieres piste in La Tania. Great value food and drinks. Always a warm welcome here from Tim and his staff.

Le Bouc Blanc: Located at the top of the La Tania Gondola, choose from the Great restaurant with a sunny terrace or choose the less formal self-service hatch for snacks, burgers, fries, panini’s etc

Le Farcon: Michelin one star restaurant at the foot of the Folyieres piste. Fabulous place and a special skiers lunch with all the added Michelin bells & whistles. Highly recommended. 

Bistrot Machet: The Bistrot Machet is open every day except Tuesday. Located on the snow front of La Tania (in place of the Chrome Bar). Open terrace, veranda and interior room we welcome you for lunch and dinner for a chef’s kitchen. Schedule :

Lunch: 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Dinner: 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Closed Monday and Sunday evening

COURCHEVEL

Le Pomme de Pin: Located just above the stade in 1850. Good value for money in Courchevel 1850

Le Chabichou: Michelin TWO star, stunning but expensive, book in advance, located near to the Stade piste close to the centre of 1850

Cap Horn: Located close to the Courchevel altiport. Expensive, but THE place to go IF YOU WANT TO BE SEEN

Fire & Ice (Cuccina Angelina): Located at the foot of the Ariondaz gondola in Courchevel 1650, excellent Italian style restaurant and pizzeria,
highly recommended, good value for money and excellent cocktails. We particularly love their Espresso Martini, a coffee stop with a kick.

Les Auberges: Located half way down the Signal piste, this old barn is a real gem, small sunny terrace and cosy rustic interior.

Bel Air: Located at the top of Ariondaz gondola in Courchevel 1650, huge sunny terrace, typically French service, the place to be seen in 1650

Bagatelle: Located at the top of Chenus gondola out of 1850 you will find this stunning new addition to the mountain dining experience Courchevel style. From 15h experience some full-on partying on their extensive terrace. €€€€s

ST MARTIN

La Loy: Just below the top of the St Martin gondola. Nice spot, excellent value, great food & friendly service

Le Corbeleys: Located at the foot of the Pramint Piste opposite the St Martin gondola, recommended

La Bouitte: A wonderful little Michelin 3 starred restaurant somewhat off the beaten track in St Marcel a small village close to St Martin

Le Dahlia: Nice restaurant, good value for money at the foot of the slopes in St Martin

LES MENUIRES

Le Chalet du Sunny: Located just off the Becca piste, good value food, friendly service, as the name suggests, huge sunny terrace chose from the restaurant or the snack bar on the terrace, can get lively after 3pm with the resident DJ

Le Roc SEVEN: Opposite Roc 1 gondola and right on the piste, the highest Italian restaurant in the 3 Valleys, fully renovated and very swanky. Excellent food that won’t break the bank. Huge sunny terrace.

ChezPepeNicolas Come and have lunch and discover Savoyard specialities with an original twist in our restaurant in Les Menuires. In the chalet and on the terrace, our chef and his team have recreated a special atmosphere that has ensured Chez Pépé Nicolas an impeccable reputation

 

VAL THORENS

La Folie Douce: A la carte restaurant bookings recommended, or a self-service cafeteria style. Wild apres here, but beware the last lift to access Mottaret is at 16h20.

Chalet 360: Huge place on the piste above Val Thorens, close to the Portette & Moraine lifts. Lots of choice here with a number of different restaurants & take-aways. We love the Wok-N-Ski. Take out noodles and a beer for around 15€

La Petite Ferme: Located on Rue du Soleil in the centre of Val Thorens, a short walk from the piste. Great value and always excellent service
