Terms & Conditions

All bookings accepted by Powder Blue Holidays Ltd. are subject to the following terms and conditions:

Contract

No contract exists between the guest and Powder Blue Holidays Ltd. until the completed online booking form and deposit have been received. The deposit of €2,000 for whole chalet bookings is due at the time of booking, after which reservations will be confirmed. The guest making the booking is "The Lead Name" and guarantees payment to us of the total cost of the holiday and does so on behalf of all members of that party.

Covid19 / Coronavirus – Winter 2021/22

Our 'Covid Promise' offers a quick and easy refund of your balance payment and protects your deposit payment, should circumstances change due to Covid19

For winter 2021/22 a deposit payment of €2,000 is required in order to secure your preferred chalet. The balance of your holiday is then due 10 weeks prior to your holiday’s arrival date.

We understand that our clients are looking for total flexibility and transparency, which is why, should your holiday be cancelled for any of the reasons stated below, your deposit payment automatically converts to a credit voucher valid against future holidays with Go Ski Meribel and your balance payment will be refunded:

1) If the FCO (UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, or equivalent in your country of residence) advise against travel (including non-essential travel) to France.

2) If the chalet you have booked with us has been forced to close due the laws and regulations of the French Government or any other local or public authority.

3) If France has closed its borders or is otherwise denying entry to foreign visitors.

**If you or someone in your group/family are suffering from Covid19 when you are due to travel or have had a recent positive test result that prevents you from travelling then you should claim from your own travel insurance policy, our refund policy detailed above WILL NOT apply **

Please note: the above Covid-19 related reasons must be in place at the time that your booking is due to take place and it must affect the travel arrangements you have made with us.

Any cancellations not Covid19 related are governed by our general Terms & Conditions set out below

Payment & Cancellations

Payment in full, less any deposit received, must be made no later than 10 weeks prior to departure.
For bookings made within 10 weeks of arrival date, the full payment for all parties must accompany the booking form.
All telephone & e-mail bookings will be held for 1 week pending receipt of completed booking forms and deposit payments. Unless agreed in writing with management of Powder Blue Holidays Ltd. Powder Blue Holidays Ltd have the right to apply cancellation charges as follows: -

  • More than 10 weeks before departure - loss of deposit
  • 6 to 10 weeks before departure 50% of total cost
  • 2 to 6 weeks before departure 75% of total cost
  • 0 to 2 weeks before departure 100% of total cost


All requests for cancellation must be in writing. If the cancellation is received after the booking has been confirmed the above charges will apply. We advise all guests that on payment of the deposit payment of their holiday they ensure that personal trip cancellation insurance is in effect.

Prices

The Prices stated in our literature/website are for one-week (7 nights) accommodation; the price includes dinner on 5 nights, breakfast on 7 mornings and afternoon tea (cakes & hot drinks) on 7 afternoons. Prices do not include Travel (To/From the UK), Airport Transfers, Holiday&/or medical insurance, ski passes, equipment hire, ski lessons and lunches.

Alterations & Amendments

If you wish to amend any details of your booking, The Lead name must request this in writing, alterations may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation charges may be applied to your booking at the discretion of Powder Blue Holidays Ltd. Any alterations to the booking will not waiver or alter these Terms & Conditions and they will continue to apply with full effect.

Insurance & Guest Responsibilities

Guests are responsible for their own travel documents, winter sports & medical insurance. It is a condition of booking that guests must have adequate Travel insurance cover in place to include winter sports & cancellation/curtailment cover in place when the booking is made. Powder Blue Holidays Ltd is not responsible for losses arising from any guest’s accident or injury, or losses from cancellation as a result of circumstances beyond our control.

All guests must undertake to behave in such a way as not to disrupt the enjoyment of others on holiday or in any way harm the reputation of Powder Blue Holidays Ltd Powder Blue Holidays Ltd. have the right to terminate the contract with the guest if these conditions are breached. Any damage to the chalet, its contents or any equipment, will be charged to the guest and must be paid before their departure. No refund will be made to any whose holiday is cancelled or curtailed in these circumstances.

Arrival & Departure times

The chalet will be available for arrivals after 17h00 on the day of arrival, (Unless previously requested for and agreed with Powder Blue Holidays Ltd). On departure day, we ask that the chalet be vacated by 10h00.

Travel

Guests are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to and from the UK to France and any airport transfers, which may be needed. They must ensure that all travel documents and valid passports are held with any visas that may be required.

Airport Transfers

Powder Blue Holidays Ltd may recommend external transfer companies. Transfers are subject to luggage restrictions, normally 1 boot bag, 1 set of skis/snowboards and one suitcase. If you have excess luggage it is your responsibility to advise us prior to your holiday as another vehicle maybe required, as such additional charges will be made.

Delays

Powder Blue Holidays Ltd cannot be held responsible for any delays prior to your arrival at your accommodation, during the course of your holiday, or after departure whether brought about by weather conditions, traffic congestion or airline strikes or delays or any other circumstances whatsoever, whether foreseen or unforeseen.

Force Majeure and Liability

Powder Blue Holidays Ltd. undertakes to provide the holiday as described in their literature/website. However, in the event that circumstances beyond our control occur, Powder Blue Holidays Ltd. will not be responsible nor pay costs, expenses or losses incurred by you as a result of but not limited to, failure of mechanical and electrical equipment, act of God, natural disasters (such as avalanches), war, civil disturbance, acts of Government, strikes or any other industrial action and similar events beyond our control. Powder Blue Holidays Ltd. is not responsible for any misunderstandings between third parties.

Lost &/or Stolen Property

In the event that guests may lose or leave any items in the chalet, no responsibility will be accepted if the property is not recovered or returned. Powder Blue Holidays Ltd cannot accept any responsibility for theft either from the chalet or any other time during your holiday. Any client(s) not properly securing the chalet upon leaving will be held liable for any property taken as a result of that negligence.

Children

Please note it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that children are sufficiently supervised at all times, Powder Blue Holidays Ltd cannot be held responsible for any accidents which may occur within the chalet.

Complaints

In the unlikely event that a guest should have cause for complaint during their stay, they should immediately inform the chalet hosts so that action can be undertaken. If the problem cannot be resolved at that time, they must write to Powder Blue Holidays Ltd. without undue delay, or in any event, no later than 21 days after the completion of their holiday.

Our responsibilities to you

We have taken every care to ensure the accuracy of the details set out in our literature and website. However, if there is any changes, we will endeavour to bring these to your attention as early as possible. We are responsible for ensuring the accommodation you book with us is as described in our literature and website and the service provided is of a reasonable standard. We will make every effort to provide the holiday as booked but if for reasons outside our control we recommend you purchase adequate travel insurance at the time of booking.

Jurisdiction

These conditions and any contract to which they apply are governed and constructed in accordance with English Law and are subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
